Obtaining a difficult divorce

Ms. Parvis maneuvered the treacherous waves and kept me off the rocks in gaining me a divorce. It was not your standard separation and divorce; we maintained the same residence the entire 2* years but Lindsay was able to get a mutual agreement so I could proceed with getting a divorce. What an unbelievable blessing Lindsay turned out to be!

I was shocked when my wife of 20 years filed for divorce. I reached out to a close friend who is a lawyer for recommendations. After interviewing both, Lindsay really stood out as experienced, knowledgeable, and skilled. She was someone who was willing to work with me, providing all the options needed to help me navigate through this difficult situation.

It turned out that Lindsay works for one of the top firms, which was incredibly helpful. Having access to other skilled lawyers for consultation as needed was a significant advantage. Her experience shined throughout the entire long process, from guiding me through gathering all the relevant information for our case to discussing potential outside consultants for the trial and how each could benefit our side.

Her preparation for teaching me how to respond to questions during my deposition was phenomenal! This preparation was evident when she explained her process for deposing my ex and then skillfully exploited all the pitfalls my ex fell into with her questioning. (Where was my ex’s prep work?)

At one point during the year leading up to the end of the divorce, my ex commented on how fabulous my lawyer was and how her lawyer (who was highly recommended) was clearly no match. When we compared our lawyer's charges, my ex’s were significantly higher, even though my charges included the two specialists we hired. Despite Lindsay's higher billable rate, her service proved to be a better value.

My ex was fortunate to agree to settle. Given that I knew my children (ages 16 to 22) would be living with her, I wanted to be very generous. However, if she hadn’t agreed to settle (which she only did at the last minute, having been unreasonable and feeling entitled to more than 100% of everything), the outcome would have been disastrous for her. Between her lawyer being outclassed by Lindsay, our thorough preparation, and our two expert consultants, she would have faced a tough trial.

All in all, Lindsay made every aspect of this process go smoothly, and I would highly recommend her to friends, family, or anyone in need of legal representation.
